Vampire Clowns

Vampire clowns,

They are not real Vampires
they are not real clowns

They own the shadows, intimidating in the shadows by the side shows
the other side of freedom,
Something about them sinks in,

however....

I never liked the circus, never got the hang
of it
trapeze work and the threat of falling
tough and scary stuff , Just hang on
(swing your legs baby!)

Vampire Clowns, faces that you know but never knew.
Thing is, your act is, about what you do, and what you never do

Oh the sawdust and the sweat of it, in the circle that you move in No one can really get out of it,  they just go round and round trying to balance

On the back of it
an untamed and untrained living

Vampire Clowns have the best of things
often less popular than the smile suggests
less lovely than their lipsticked mouth
